Jon Bowermaster was off so Jimmy Buff, executive director of Radio Kingston and Tim Guinee, actor and climate activist hosted with guest Ulster County Legislator and longtime climate activist Manna Jo Greene.

Manna Jo Greene began her social activism in the early 1960s working for the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) and eventually ended up as Environmental Action Director for the Clearwater organization and as an Ulster County Legislator, leading many of the County's environmental and climate initiatives.

Manna Jo Greene Reflects on Clearwater

Manna Jo Greene has stepped down after more than two decades as Environmental Action Director at Clearwater. Manna Jo talked with Mark Dunlea of Hudson Mohawk Magazine about Clearwater's efforts to clean up the Hudson River and the role played by founder musician / activist Pete Seeger.

After the interview, Manna Jo said she wished she had discussed how the civil rights movement and Dr. Martin Luther King were her initial exposure to activism.
